Emergency Medicine Residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital

The program is based at Morristown Memorial Hospital, the major tertiary referral center of northwestern New Jersey. Morristown Memorial Hospital has 628 beds, nine different residency programs, and is a major affiliate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine. The hospital has the only trauma center designation in the region, with a rapidly growing program which receives patients from throughout the area via ambulance and helicopter. The hospital has one of the largest cardiac programs in the country and the only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the county. Morristown Memorial Hospital is a major referral center with a tradition of quality care, education and attention to patient satisfaction. The hospital is situated in a lovely suburban community which is forty minutes from New York City.

Morristown Memorial Hospital has been training residents in emergency medicine since 1978. The graduates of the program practice throughout the United States in a variety of settings, including academic, community and urban hospitals. Many have gone on to academic and community hospital leadership positions in emergency medicine.
