A Message from the DirectorApplication ProcedureThe Morristown Memorial Hospital Residency in Emergency Medicine accepts applications for seven PGY I level positions only. The program participates in the National Resident Matching Program. (NRMP #139433) Applications will be accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) exclusively. All information should be incorporated into the electronic application. Information on ERAS may be obtained through your dean's office. To apply for the PGY I class beginning July,
please follow the following instructions:
b. Deans letter c. Medical school transcript d. A letter of reference from an Emergency Medicine physician. e. Two other current letters of reference. (Letters from Emergency Medicine physicians are best. Letters from other clinical specialties are certainly acceptable. Letters from other reference sources may be suitable depending on your background.) e. A copy of your USMLE or COMLEX scores (Part I and Part II) sent by NBME electronically. f. Applicants currently in post-graduate training must supply a letter of reference from their current Program Director.
Please note that applications have no minimum requirements. The application is reviewed as a whole document and a determination to interview applicants will be made based on the entire application.
Interviews for residency positions will be granted by invitation only after reviewing your completed application. This includes all of the above-mentioned items. Our interview season typically runs from the first week of November through the end of January. Except for extraordinary circumstances, we interview on Tuesdays only.
